I couldn’t be more excited to share this new collection of paintings at Art Toronto in October 2026, represented by Galerie C.O.A.
About Galerie C.O.A
The C.O.A Contemporary Art Gallery opened its doors in Montreal in May 2014. The gallery is home to a roster of both Canadian and international artists, playing on established conventions and the perception they can bring to them. What they all have in common: an unusual creation, hence the name of the gallery: “Créateurs d’Œuvres Atypiques” (creators of atypical works).
About The New Collection
This new collection marks the beginning of an exploration I'll be continuing through my 2027 solo exhibitions, built around the idea of Myth.
A myth is a story that tells itself through accumulation, not authorship. Across generations, telling after telling folds into a single place until it becomes a verbal roadmap, a way of moving through a time and space that continues to grow truer with every voice that carries it forward.
My paintings work through a version of this same accumulation. Each landscape is built from many real places and remembered fragments, settled into something that presents itself as whole and specific. I am not inventing these places so much as compressing them, the many becoming one the way accumulated story becomes a single path through country.
What is excavated from beneath each surface is not a hidden image waiting to be found, but a record of time that can be revisited and re-engaged. The viewer completes the telling, filling the unnamed place with their own memory, their own sense of where it might be. That act of insertion is the mechanism to which the story can continue to evolve.

Art Toronto
Art Toronto's 27th edition is set to take place October 29 - November 1, 2026 in downtown Toronto. Since 2000, they have been dedicated to supporting art in Canada, connecting audiences to local, national and international galleries, and promoting diverse creative practices.
If you're in Toronto that week, I'd love for you to go and see the works in person at the Galerie C.O.A booth.
